Friends of the Rock Rapids Public Library
Friends of the Library is a nonprofit advocacy organization which supports the Library. Their volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community.
1. Encourage community awareness of library services.
2. Sponsor special programs for children and adults.
3. Provide volunteers for programs, events, and projects.
4. Raise funds for special programming and to purchase materials and equipment.
How to join the Friends: Fill out a membership form and return it along with a check to the Friends of the Library.
Projects include: Fall Festival in October, Spring Author Event in April, Pockets Full of Fun (Summer Reading Program), 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, and Books for Babies at the Hospital. See more projects.
